Staying Safe Outdoors

August 23, 2023

Stay safe outdoors! Summer fun means outdoor adventures, but safety first: Did you know accidents DOUBLE for kids and rise 25% for adults in the summer? Yikes!

There’s many simple things you can do, such as:

  1. Strap on that helmet, and maybe even elbow pads too!
  1. Warm-up, stretch, and play by the rules!
  1. Watch your step while exercising and moving around!

Video Description and Transcript

Video Description:

The post has a video thumbnail with blue shading overlaid. The top middle has "Don’t Forget your Helmet!" in white text with rose background. In the video: A young woman with brown curly hair is sitting in front of the camera with shelves, books, and decorative items behind her. She is wearing a dark pink shirt with purple half-framed glasses.

In the summer, accidents increase 2x for children and are 25% more likely for adults. This is because of outdoor recreation and sports! When you go outside to play, be sure to remember your helmet and elbow pads! [The screen fades to show a thumbnail of a faded white background of a doctor holding hands with another individual] Deaf.
