Bee Gehman (they/them) is a deaf Certified Sexuality Educator (CSE), Certified Deaf Interpreter (CDI), and medical interpreter specializing in accessible health education, language justice, and health equity for deaf communities. Bee brings over a decade of experience advancing culturally responsive, trauma-informed education across healthcare, academic, and community settings and is the founder of jooux center, a Deaf-led sexual wellness initiative focused on expanding equitable access to information and dismantling systemic barriers that contribute to health disparities. Driven by their passion for healthcare access, Bee is deeply committed to medical interpreting and ensuring deaf patients have full access to information necessary for informed consent and autonomous decision-making. They have also led and collaborated on large-scale media and translation projects with organizations including Family Tree Clinic, Planned Parenthood, DeafSHARE, and Every Body Curious, and have produced over 100 professional educational videos through jooux center. Bee earned their master's degree in Human Sexuality Education from Widener University, and outside of their professional work, they enjoy hiking and camping.
