Patient Advocacy

Request Services

We support all deaf patients by offering guidance in navigating the healthcare system, advocating for systematic changes, and providing direct assistance through pioneering ASL-based hotlines – the first of their kind in the field. Our goal is to ensure equitable access to care and empower patients throughout their healthcare journey.

  • Accessible Video Hotline

We provide customized solutions and immediate access to patient advocacy through building trusting connections in American Sign Language (ASL). Deaf patients can connect with a real person who understands their healthcare needs anytime.

    Bilingual Advocacy (ASL & English)

Our bilingual team guarantees clear, culturally aware communication in both ASL and English, bridging gaps and making sure nothing gets lost in translation.

  • Personalized Patient Navigation

We walk with patients every step of the way, including helping schedule appointments, communicate with providers, and navigate services confidently, with support at every stage of the healthcare journey.

    Human-Centered Connection

Our team builds real, trusting relationships with each person, making sure they feel heard, respected, and supported on a personal level.

  • Legal Rights Education

We empower patients by providing accessible information on their legal rights, like those protected under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), so they can advocate for themselves in any healthcare setting.

    Advocating for Policy Changes

We’re not just supporting patients. We’re working to change the system by advocating for policies at local, state, and national levels that improve accessibility for deaf people throughout the healthcare system.

COVID-19 Hotline Connected Deaf Callers Seeking Information with Agents Fluent in American Sign Language

“I often get calls from people who are very concerned about not understanding what is happening because statistics and data are so overwhelming. After providing support in ASL, I can see that people are feeling relieved and safer by having more accurate information to protect themselves.”
