Health insurance can be difficult to navigate, but for many Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing individuals, the challenge goes beyond complex terminology. Critical information is often not available in accessible formats.
We’re excited to share that DeafHealth, with support from Oscar Health, is developing a new ASL health insurance education video series designed to make health information more accessible and easier to understand for Deaf, DeafBlind, and Hard of Hearing communities.
Effective health education starts with listening to the community. We invite community members, healthcare professionals, advocates, interpreters, and partners to help identify the health insurance topics that matter most.
What questions about health insurance do you encounter most often? What information do you wish was more accessible and easier to understand?
We look forward to building these resources in partnership with the communities we serve.
